Foam Hand soap
Ingredients

Ingredients and Recipe

I want to share my DIY foam hand soap recipe with you.

Ingredients needed:

Foam Pump bottle

Purified or Distilled water

5 Tbs Castile Soap

6 Tbs Witch Hazel

3 drops each Almond oil and /or Vitamin E oil (for Moisture)

3 drops of Vitamin C  in liquid form (plant Therapy) (for Moisture)

2 drops each of Jojoba oil and Argan oil (for Moisture)

3 drops Rosehip oil (for Moisture)

2 Drops each of Thyme and Tea Tree oil (for anti-bacterial)

3 Drops Lemon Oil (Antimicrobial)

Capful of Watermelon  Oil (for Moisture)

6 drops of floral essential oil ( for scent: your choice, mix, and match).  I love Lavender and Bergamot

Add the Witch Hazel and Castile Soap

Then, drop in the oils.

Fill with Purified or Distilled Water

Cap and shake.

The oil will separate; you can shake occasionally if you want to, but it is not necessary.

Product

To start, I  use an old dial foam soap bottle.  You can also purchase foam pump bottles from Amazon.  Check the reviews for an acceptable one.

I use tap water that goes through a filter at my sink into a Pur pitcher and then into a Pur dispenser.  Distilled water could also work.

I try to use mainly organic essential oils.

My Thoughts

I created my DIY foam soap because it was less expensive than store-bought ones, and I also like to know what is going on my skin.  I played around with it and settled on this recipe.  You can adjust according to your needs.  I like the combination of antimicrobial/anti-bacterial and moisture to be sure I am cleaning and not drying my hands.

In today’s world, it would be nice to make some DIY products to reduce plastic use and better understand what we are using.

If this recipe works for you, Please comment below.  I will post a few more recipes for laundry detergent and Power Dish Soap.

Have a blissful day!
