I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations.  Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself.  You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you.  You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world.  Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china.  I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.

Children’s Hearts!

Have you ever watched a child play?

When they notice another or an animal in distress, they automatically react with kindness and compassion.  They don’t give it a second thought; it is as if they have no choice but to be a loving and caring person.

The hearts of children are pure and beautiful.

When they encounter someone crying, they instinctively offer comfort through a gentle touch. Similarly, if they come across an animal in need, they are quick to lend a helping hand. Their empathetic nature even extends to their playthings – if they notice one of their toys seems distressed, they pause their playtime to attend to it. These actions reflect their true character and who we should aspire to be like.

What a beautiful world we would have if we all could have children’s hearts our entire lives.  There would be no hatred, no abuse, no bigotry.  Everywhere you look, you will see helping hands and pure love.

Today’s challenge:

That pureness is still in all our hearts.  To find it, start with a small act of kindness, holding the door, picking up a piece of litter, putting your cart back, or if you see something that fell off a shelf in the store, pick it up.

Agree big time w/ the Aug 9 comment; I sort of did it last night after getting upset at the ding-dong at the drive-thru … then remembered your challenge, “Have a compassionate day!” and went through the line again (it was a short line) to “just give her a smile!” Suddenly she wasn’t so ding-dongy but just someone (like me) having a tough day. She smiled and said “Thanks!”
