I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Crying
I am a crybaby.
Put a movie on, and I will cry. Say something sweet, and the tears will come. Walk away, and I will shed tears.
I often thought of my crying as an adversity.
However, as I get older, I realize it is not a flaw. It is who I am. I wear my heart on my sleeve and, therefore, can cry easily.
However, it does not mean that I am not strong. It means that I prefer to let things out.
So many go through life refusing to cry because, in their eyes, it makes one weak to cry. When we allow the tears to flow, we release feelings that we do not want to hold or let control us. Therefore, it does not make us vulnerable.
Sometimes, I get overwhelmed and have a crying fit. However, when I do this, I get clarity on what bothers me and can deal with the issue much better. I may end up with a major headache at times, but it is worth it to get it out and not let it consume me.
When we allow our tears to flow, we say we are strong enough to let things go.
Today’s challenge:
Don’t be afraid to cry.
