I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations.  Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself.  You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness.  Perhaps you can hold the door open without expecting a thank you.  You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world.  Maybe you have some untapped talent you regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china.  I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.

Detours

When I realized

I chose the wrong door
I had to make a choice
As I closed that door
I was rewarded
With my voice
Now I wonder if
I chose the wrong door
Or if in fact
It was just a detour
Maybe what was
behind the door
was a gift
So that I had to shift
I now ponder
Is there a wrong door

Life is not always a straight line.  There are often detours: we often find ourselves going down the wrong road or opening the wrong door.  Or at least we think we have.

There are no wrong doors or roads.  Detours are just lessons that need to be learned.  In other words, it is a gift the Universe gives us.  The faster we learn our lessons, the faster we get back on track.

We return stronger and wiser from our detours onto our paths with the knowledge we have gained.

Our detours can last years, or they can be a quick layover.  It depends on the lessons that need to be learned and your willingness to learn it.

When you feel lost, look around and see what lesson you need to learn.  Then close the door and move along your path to the right door.

Today’s challenge:

Don’t close the door too fast.
