I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness. Perhaps you can hold the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Maybe you have some untapped talent you regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Encouragement
Not everyone in your life will always encourage you. Often, it may only be one or two.
For example, being unsure of the reception I would receive when I started this blog, I did not tell friends or family (except my father) about it. Over time, I accidentally let it slip to my siblings, and I have only recently told two friends about it. I needed to encourage myself before sharing with others.
I have often thought of giving up, but some voices encourage me to keep going.
Sometimes, you will receive encouragement from people close to you. My father always encourages me. And for that, I am grateful.
And often, encouragement does not come from those nearest you but from strangers. A few comments on my blogs and social media have continuously encouraged me. Today, a person I do not know encouraged me to keep going. She reminded me that I would not have started this if I were not meant to.
If you need encouragement to keep going, give it to yourself and keep trying. Eventually, others will see your light and want to share it, too.
Today’s challenge:
Never give up on yourself.
