I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations.  Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself.  You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you.  You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world.  Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china.  I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.

Every Day Is a Gift

Some days can be highly frustrating.  You may forget that every day is a gift, and you want to throw the towel in and tell life: “You win; I quit!”

When things don’t go how we would like, it is easy to get frustrated and want to give up.  However, we must remember that every day is a gift, and there is another chance right around the corner for everything to go right.

We are given a new beginning every day, a unique chance to change things.  Hence, we each must decide what to do with this gift.  Do we stay in yesterday’s letdowns, or do we get up, wipe ourselves off, and say Bring it on?

It can be challenging to change our mindset from the day’s disappointments. However, it is essential that we do.  Going through life with the veil of yesterday’s setbacks can close our eyes to the gift of today.

Today, we have the opportunity to turn things around and accomplish the things we could not do yesterday. You must remember that if you cannot do it today, there is always the gift of tomorrow. That is the beauty of every day; it is a new beginning and a new chance to start fresh.

Every day is a gift!

Today’s challenge:

Challenge your frustrations.  In other words, view them differently and see if you can find the solution with a different mindset.

Belated Thanksgiving note: I wanted to tell you that one of the things I am most thankful for this year is your blog. You will never know what a God-send this has been. What happened? Why were you off-line? Back to the present: thank you so much for always “being there” when I needed a word of comfort or some inspiration! TUG
RE “Every day is a new day”: I was looking for your blog over this Thanksgiving week and not finding it, I decided to go with “Every day is a new beginning” theme, and just asked God, “If it is appropriate, God, how about a little miracle and let me find this blog?” … and here you suddenly are. I don’t know if I got lost or your blog got lost, but I am thanking God for whatever talents He has shared with you which you in turn share with us. As you suggest in so many of your inspirational thoughts, God really is everywhere.
    Thank you!
