I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness. Perhaps you can hold the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Maybe you have some untapped talent you regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Eyes of Forgiveness
When I looked into the mirror, the person I needed to forgive the most was looking back at me with eyes of hope that today would be the day that I spoke the words she wanted to hear.
I looked at her and glared. Why do you make the mistakes you do?
When I looked in the mirror, the person I needed to forgive the most was looking back at me with eyes pleading for my love.
I looked at her and shook my head as I told her she was not worthy.
When I looked into the mirror, the person I needed to forgive the most was looking back at me with eyes of sadness.
I looked at her and told her to get over herself.
She looked at me with tears in her eyes and shame on her face and turned away.
When I looked into the mirror, the person I needed to forgive the most was looking back at me with eyes of faith and belief in me.
I looked at her and promised her that faith was not misplaced.
When I looked into the mirror, I spoke words of love and forgiveness to the person who most needed my forgiveness.
Today’s challenge:
Look into the mirror and forgive yourself.
