I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Forward-Looking
Time keeps marching forward, and as it does, things change.
For the most part, this is good. On the other hand, the past can hold some fond memories.
Sometimes, as we recall our past and slip into memories, smiles may slide across our faces as we think of our friends. Smells may make us close our eyes in delight as we remember someone or a holiday. A song on the radio may take us to another time and place. These are the times we don’t want to forget.
Nevertheless, we must continue to move forward with time. Visiting the past is acceptable; however, living there is not.
The future also holds great memories for us. Still, we will never realize these dreams if we do not continue forward. It may be difficult at times, especially after a loss of any kind, but we must remember that it is essential that we keep moving forward and exploring as we make new memories and continue to grow.
If you need to stay in the past for a short period, that is your choice. When you are ready to move onward, you will. There is no shame in asking for a helping hand to guide you. We each will move forward at our own pace, which is how it should be.
Today’s challenge:
Put the past behind you.
