go left

I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations.  Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself.  You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you.  You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world.  Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china.  I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.

Games

We all win games, and we all lose games.

We cannot always win, and we do not always lose.

Sometimes, when we win, we lose.  At the same time, we may lose when we win.

Games mean to teach us lessons.  Additionally, winning or losing teaches us.

So many think that the only goal is to win, forgetting the reason behind the entertainment.  Games are for having fun and enjoying another’s company.  Games teach us the lesson of victory as well as the lesson of defeat.

Therefore, when we enter a match, we must remember there is a lesson to learn within this game and that we must enjoy every moment of the amusement.  As we finish the game, we should reflect upon it and discover our mistakes if we were not victorious.  At the same time, if we are the victor, we should be humble of our winnings.

We may have won because the other felt we needed a win, or we could have won because we outwitted our opponents.  Either way, we should be gracious in our triumph.  At the same time, we must also be civil in our loss.  We may have lost because we were not one hundred percent in the game or because our opponent was more advanced at the game.

Games can be fun whether we win or lose.  It is about the moments spent together and the camaraderie of enjoying each other’s company.

Therefore, the next time you are about to start a game, remember there is a lesson ahead of you.

Today’s challenge:

Enjoy the game of life.
