Haiku Coffee

I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations.  Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself.  You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you.  You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world.  Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china.  I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.

Healing

If you are not okay, that is okay.

We cannot start to heal until we admit we are not okay.  Once we admit to ourselves, the healing begins.

For many, healing is a personal journey,  and we do not need permission from others to travel our path.

At the same time, others need a shoulder to lean on.  Once again, there is nothing wrong with this.

And yet, others may want a combination of going it alone and having a shoulder to lean on.

We must remember that what works for one person may not work for another, which is acceptable.  Therefore, as someone sets out on their healing journey, we must let them know we are available when they need us but allow them to spread their wings and fly.

Ultimately, what matters is that we know we are not okay and are ready to heal.  Our choice is how we do the work to get to that healed place.

Finally, once we have found healing, we can shine a light for others and allow them to decide if that is the path they choose to follow.

Today’s challenge:

Allow yourself and others to heal how they choose to.
