I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness. Perhaps you can hold the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Maybe you have some untapped talent you regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Helping Hands
Helping hands can come from our family or friends. They may be from someone we work with or go to school with, or the hands of help may belong to someone we do not know.
Sometimes, we are the hand that helps. When we see someone struggling, it is our nature to lend a helping hand.
When someone extends help, they are helping the person in need and helping themselves and others.
There are many ways we can lend a hand. We can be a sounding board or a shoulder to lean on. It can also come in the form of monetary help.
Yet, many do not want to offer their hand. They may feel they never received help, so why should they help? However, at some point in all our lives, someone has offered to help us. We may not have accepted the help; however, it was offered. For some, going it alone is how to get through life. While there is nothing wrong with choosing this path, not everyone can.
Also, we may be confused as to how we can help. It may be a question of money or time. However, we cannot allow this to prevent us from extending a helping hand.
In short, we must remember that humans are here to help each other and our beautiful planet.
Today’s challenge:
Offer your hand in help.
