I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Intuition
Do you trust your intuition? Have you ever failed to listen to it and regretted it?
Our intuition is the Universe trying to keep us safe. Your gut feeling about someone or a situation is there for a reason and will never fail us. If your heart tells you something is wrong, you should listen.
My heart told me to watch this situation a few times, and I am glad I listened to my intuition.
One time, I was in the gas station, and this car pulled into the pump next to the one I was at, and no one got out to fill up. The person in the passenger seat just looked at me with contempt. When I got in my car to leave, they started to follow me, so I pulled into the air station, and they pulled into another pump. When I returned to my car, they began to pull out, so I pulled into a parking spot in front of the store. I watched which way they pulled out of the driveway and went the opposite way.
This was a straightforward situation to read. However, it could have been dangerous, if I had not been aware of my gut, or chose not to listen to it because I looked silly. And even though it took me the long way around to get on the highway and I was late for work, I am grateful for my intuition.
Sometimes, we have an instinct about what someone else asks us. We know it is wrong, yet we let the other person’s voice override our gut feeling. Then you are full of regret. You will never regret listening to your heart; it will not lead you astray. If you have let someone else’s agenda override your intuition, admit your mistake, forgive yourself, and move on.
Today’s challenge:
Trust your heart.
