I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Judgmental
We are living in a world that is becoming increasingly judgmental. People judge you on your views, your appearance, your job, your home, and your beliefs.
This is not new. However, it has just become more prevalent. People believe they have a right to say anything to anyone, whether they know them or not.
We are not all meant to be the same. Therefore, we all have different beliefs, views, and reactions to the world.
Often, people think they can judge you based on one interaction when they do not know you. They assume that because you said something, they can judge you for everything else in your life. They often believe that if you do not believe what they believe, you are automatically evil.
I don’t care how you live as long as you are not hurting anyone else. This is not to say that I have never been judgmental and that, at times, I still can be. Therefore, I am working on staying neutral. However, I will push back when someone is trying to push their religious or political beliefs on me. I have firm beliefs on both subjects and am working on keeping those beliefs to myself. Hence, I would prefer others did the same.
Judging others is not our job. Once again, as long as no one else is harmed, no one has a right to tell anyone how they should live their lives.
Today’s challenge:
Keep your judgments to yourself.
