I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
There is a lot of heartlessness in the world these days.
What we must do is ask ourselves if we want to contribute to that nastiness or if we want to be kind.
When we choose to be unkind, we go against our hearts. Unfortunately, we have all been mean at least once, but if you are anything like me, this is when you are most embarrassed at your behavior.
Often, when we are being mean and lashing out, it is because we are hurt. As a result, we choose to try and hurt others. We may do this intentionally or unintentionally. However, either way, it contributes to cruelty.
On the other hand, when choosing to be kind, we are contributing beauty to the world. Kindness comes from our hearts and is what our beautiful world needs the most. Therefore, we should strive to be kind at all times.
Ultimately, we have all been hurt, but inflicting that hurt on others is wrong. Additionally, we all have beauty in our hearts and should share that kindness.
Today’s challenge:
When you feel yourself hurting, lashing out and hurting others will not make you feel better. Remember kindness.
