I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Letting Go
Sometimes, the best thing we can do for ourselves is to let go.
Let go of the things that no longer serve us.
For example, when we hold onto anger, we do a disservice to ourselves. When we release this anger, it does not mean that we forget. It simply means we value ourselves too much to continue to let the anger control us.
Another example is letting go of toxic people in our lives. Once again, this does not mean we no longer love these people; it only means we have learned to value ourselves more.
There are many things that we hold onto, thinking that they are going to improve our lives. Maybe you have a hope or dream for how you expect your life to be. However, you may need to be more flexible in your plans to achieve this goal. If you let go of the reigns a little, you may find that the Universe has a better plan for you. It does not mean you cannot have what you want, only that there may be a better way to achieve your dreams.
Finally, sometimes, we hold on to sentimental items. While they may hold a special place in your heart, you must decide if there is a place for them in your home. Memories and love will remain even if the item is released.
Today’s challenge:
Look for the things in your life, physical or emotional, that you can release. Let go of the things that no longer positively impact your life.
