I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness. Perhaps you can hold the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Maybe you have some untapped talent you regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Mission Statement
I am living as a kind, compassionate, loving human being.
I have boundaries for myself and others that must not be crossed. I will stand up to bullies who try to bully me or others.
I have the right to say no without explanation and accept others’ no without question.
Life is meant to be enjoyed, and I will do everything I can to make my life and the lives of those around me enjoyable.
Do you have a mission statement?
Don’t feel bad if you don’t. Most people think that it is just for business.
But your life is a business. Therefore, having a mission statement would not be out of line.
Mission statements can grow with you. In other words, they do not need to remain the same your entire life.
It would also be a good idea to help children develop one. It will help them to stand up to bullies for themselves and others.
Your mission statement can be about your boundaries. The things you accept in your life and those you do not allow. The things you will help others with and the things you can say no to.
Having a mission statement is a beautiful way to guide your life.
Today’s challenge:
If you don’t already have a mission statement for your life, consider creating one and living by it.
