Morning Coffee Recipe Great Day

I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations.  Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself.  You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you.  You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world.  Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china.  I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.

Overthinking

Are you an overthinker?

Many of us are.  We overthink everything.  We wonder why this happened or why I am going through this right now.  Should I have done that thing or said that thing?  Would things be better if I had chosen a different option?

Overthinking can lead us to be unhappy.  When we overthink, we constantly put ourselves in a state of apprehension.  Instead of seeing where the road leads, we keep looking backward.

For example, we may have decided to do something, and now we are still determining if we made the right decision.  However, we need to move forward as we ponder our decision.

We must remember that everything happens for a reason, and no matter how much we think about it after the fact, we cannot change what has happened.  Therefore, we need to accept the past, and if there is something we choose to change about it, we can do that in the present or the future.

When we overthink anything, we lock ourselves into a moment in time, and we must remember that we cannot stay in that moment forever.  Therefore, we must unburden our minds and learn to accept things as they are.  And look to the future for the change we are seeking.

Today’s challenge:

Stop overthinking and unburden yourself.

Oooh boy, is that me in the past!! Now, I put my trust in myself and when challenged, I let trust in God control me.
