I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness. Perhaps you can hold the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Maybe you have some untapped talent you regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Right Questions
Why is this happening to me? We often ask negative questions instead of looking at things positively.
Instead of asking why this is happening to me, ask what is this teaching me. Instead of Why do I have to do this? I don’t have to. I get to. When will this end? Instead, There is so much for me to learn on this journey.
How we talk to ourselves affects how we see things. For example, I still beat myself up over quitting my job. Why did I do that? Instead, I should ask myself why the Universe wanted me to leave that place. Instead of feeling sorry for myself, I should see the reason in these words. I would never have found my voice while doing that job.
I can choose to believe that I made a mistake instead of having faith that there is something more important for me to do. We need to ask ourselves better questions and we need to refocus our attention on the positive. We have to become aware of our self-talk. I still catch myself asking the negative questions at times, but now that I am more aware of what I should be asking myself, I stop and laugh at myself and then ask the right question.
Asking the right questions changes our outlook and our day.
Today’s challenge:
