I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness. Perhaps you can hold the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Maybe you have some untapped talent you regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Rain Beauty
The beauty of rain is unmatched.
Rain brings the calming, mesmerizing sounds of a dance of water falling on the rooftop or hitting the ground—the extra layer of beauty in the sky of clouds. The sound of thunder and the beauty of lightning are also wonderful side effects.
Rain also creates the magic of watering the trees and plants and making the weeds slip easily from the ground. The gardens and flowerbeds benefit from the downpour.
The rain helps wash the dust off the cars and settles the dust in the air. It adds humidity to the dry air.
Every drop of rain is valid, even the runoff. We can capture it for later use to help our plants thrive. The water that collects on the roads evaporates back into the sky to fall again to the ground.
Unfortunately, rain can also be damaging and dangerous. However, that is not the rain’s intention. Rain does not fall to hurt, but it is hard to believe that when you have experienced destruction due to the downpour.
Rain can teach us many lessons, and when we come out of the storm, we can look for the beauty it has created, even if it takes a little time for it to manifest.
There is nothing quite like rain.
Today’s challenge:
Set a reminder for the next time it rains to go outside and dance in gratitude.
