I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Are you center? Do you know where your center is?
Every once in a while, we have to recenter ourselves.
We each have a different center and a different way of finding it. Many find their center every morning through meditation, while others may find it in a run or workout, and still others find it at the bottom of their coffee cup.
For instance, the candle in the picture is an example of how we can get off-center. Subsequently, if we are not paying attention, the wick may start to singe the glass. Fortunately, we can recenter the wick by letting the candle cool off and moving the wick back into the center.
Likewise, the same is true for our lives. We can become overwhelmed with things or people that need our attention. Therefore, we may forget to care for ourselves as we try to repair what is broken or help others. If we don’t stay vigilant, we may let the anxiety take over and lose our center.
The good news is that, like the wick in the candle, we can recenter ourselves. We must step back, cool off, and return to the center.
Today’s challenge:
Find your center.
