I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations.  Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself.  You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you.  You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world.  Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china.  I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.

Renewal

Our bodies are in a constant state of renewal; shouldn’t our minds be too?

Our body is constantly renewing itself.  New cells, new hair, and even some organs are replaced over time.

If our bodies can do that, then renewing our mindset should be something we can all accomplish.

Because we believed something yesterday does not mean we need to continue believing it.  New information comes to light, and we see things differently.

We are allowed to change our minds.  That is one of the beauties of being a human being—life changes, as well as circumstances.  We must keep up with these changes instead of rigorously holding onto old beliefs.

Everyone gets to make their own choices. However, not examining new information can be detrimental.  If we choose to dismiss this further information, that is our choice.

However, if we change our beliefs because we discover we no longer align with an old thought, we are allowed to do this.

We shouldn’t limit ourselves to a single way of thinking that someone else’s thoughts may have influenced.  Humans can experience a range of emotions toward the same thing.  For instance, we can still love someone even if we disagree with their beliefs.

Examining your beliefs and deciding if they are good for you and as well as the world may be the renewal you need.

Today’s challenge:

Discover if your beliefs are yours or someone else’s.  If you no longer agree with them, renew your thought pattern.

Thank you for offering a new challenge every day, and although I look forward to these, I must admit that I am more often than not intrigued by your sage words prior to the challenge. For example, your words regarding “Renewal” are so simply stated that they become truly uplifting as a reminder that our minds are in fact a magnificent gift and as such we should continue to always look for new visions and to expand our horizons. Love the way you share these thoughts! 🙂 Thanks.
