I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Ripples
Every life ripples out to affect other lives. We may not know how or who we affect, but we do. Our effect on the world is profound, even if we are unaware. This is why we must stay vigilant about how we act, react, and use our words.
We are not all in the public eye; therefore, we may not think our actions are not as important as those of people who are better known. However, we would be wrong. All world leaders had parents, teachers, coaches, bosses, and friends who somehow influenced their lives and, therefore, affected our lives.
Influences can be both positive and negative. We do not get to choose that only our positivity ripples out into the world. This is why we need to monitor ourselves at all times. We are going to have our oops moments. Therefore, we need to be sure that they are not so profound as to impact others in such a way that is negative towards the world.
Ripples can be changed as other stones are thrown into the water. Therefore, if someone is on a negative trajectory, it does not mean that a stone of positivity cannot change the direction in which the person moves.
Today’s challenge:
Be aware of your ripples.
