I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness. Perhaps you can hold the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Maybe you have some untapped talent you regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Romanticize
Sometimes, we romanticize things that happen in life. We forget the truth about a situation.
We want something so bad that we put aside the negativity that comes from it. We may forget the truth or decide it was not so bad, giving us false hope.
The truth always finds its way to the surface. It may show itself in a dream or an undeniable memory. It is then your choice to accept the truth or to romanticize the truth and choose to live in a lie.
However, that lie will always return the truth to you and may come with some hard lessons.
Recently, I have been romanticizing my old job. I loved the job, but I had an excellent reason for leaving, and things I have heard since I left have proven me right for my actions. However, finding it hard to find another job I would love, I started romanticizing my old job until last night when I had a dream that led me to the truth behind leaving it.
Often, things happen for a reason. We may have to be patient for that reason to reveal itself. But everything always works out for the best.
Today’s challenge:
When you receive clues about a situation, study them for truth.
