I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness. Perhaps you can hold the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Maybe you have some untapped talent you regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Self Belief
Is what you think of yourself true?
Examine your beliefs about yourself. Write them down: good and bad. Be honest with yourself. Once you have written down all your beliefs, examine each one thoroughly and determine if it is accurate, if it is your belief, or if someone planted the seed in your head.
We may continue to believe things we told ourselves at once, which may or may not have been accurate. We also often entertain the beliefs of others about us.
For example, you may be compassionate, but someone views you differently and decides your actions are self-serving. You may find that you start to believe this misconception of yourself.
Stay with a belief for as long as you have to: a day, a week, or however long it takes to determine where this belief came from and if it is true. Then, decide whether it is a belief you wish to continue entertaining. If it is not empowering, you may want to choose to replace it with a new belief.
Today’s challenge:
Release the beliefs that do not serve you.
