I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
It is not always easy to love ourselves. However, we must.
When we love ourselves, we show the world how worthy of love we are.
Self-love is not about conceit. It is about respecting yourself and honoring who you are and want to be. When we love ourselves, we give ourselves a beautiful gift.
We may express our self-love by taking better care of ourselves. Such as choosing to keep our physical body in better shape through what we put into it. We may also care for our bodies by exercising or pampering ourselves.
Caring for our bodies is not the only way we show our self-love. We also need to care for our hearts and minds. One way to do this is meditation, where you can connect with your higher self. I hang with my higher self (in my Sacred Spot) at least once a day, and we have a ritual of telling each other that we love, forgive, and appreciate each other. The first time I saw my higher self, I was blown away at how beautiful she is and started telling her that, too. Not to be outdone, she also tells me how beautiful I am. Occasionally, we let the ego sit in on this exchange.
Ultimately, self-love is a beautiful gift that you give not only to yourself but also to the world.
Today’s challenge:
Check in with your higher self.
