Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness. Perhaps you can hold the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Maybe you have some untapped talent you regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.

Dealt the wrong card
Scarred
Always on guard
Nothing is right
Everything a fight
Looking for the bright
In a never-ending night
Find the shield
And the light revealed
Sometimes, everything in life seems like a fight, and you seek a shield to protect yourself.
We look all around for that shield to get through another day. But that shield is nowhere to be found.
That is because the protection we seek cannot come from the outside. It must come from within. When you turn on your light, it grows, and so does your shield.
The shield we each need is our own light. Picture that light growing, starting as a flicker in your heart, and watch it expand out until you can picture that glow of protection all around you.
Will this light dim at times? Of course, it will. It needs a rest, too. But, know you can turn it up instantly when needed, and know you can protect yourself with your shield of light at any time.
