I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Tangles
Sometimes, things get tangled up in life.
Tangles can be a challenge that we need to face. They can happen when we have not been careful of our choices.
The messes we find ourselves in can be our own or someone else’s doing. This is the first thing we must figure out to begin to untangle ourselves. If we blame someone else for our mistake, we only entangle ourselves more.
However, if we take the correct responsibility, we can continue to find and untie the knots. This does not mean that there will not be consequences. However, the consequences can be less severe when we see our mistakes and work to fix them.
At the same time, some tangles may be beneficial to us. These are often uncomplicated knots. For example, we may find ourselves in a situation where we are protected due to the tangle we found ourselves in. Perhaps you stopped to help someone, and it became more involved than anticipated. However, because of your actions, you missed a larger tangle of a pile-up on the highway.
Like most things in life, tangles can be either good or bad. It is a matter of perspective.
Today’s challenge:
If you find yourself in a tangle, determine if it is your doing, then work to fix the situation.
