I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness. Perhaps you can hold the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Maybe you have some untapped talent you regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Vulnerable
Vulnerability is not always a liability. Sometimes, people need to see your vulnerability to accept your strength.
I have been writing a lot of poetry, some of which I have shared in Morning Coffee. You can also see it here. I have found that I write a lot about being strong, but fewer people respond to just strength. They seem to need to see your vulnerabilities first.
I understand because many feel vulnerable and have not found their strength yet. So, they relate to you more if you show them that your strength grew out of your susceptibility. They need to see that you are like them, that you have been weak and needed help at times. Otherwise, it seems unattainable to be strong.
Being vulnerable is a way forward to new growth, kindness, and compassion. It is a strength that we all need to exhibit so that we can help each other.
At the same time, we have to watch for the people who seek to exploit our vulnerabilities. Be careful which vulnerabilities you share and with whom you share them.
Never feel weak because you allowed your vulnerabilities out.
Today’s challenge:
Open yourself to your vulnerabilities and share them so that you can overcome them.
