You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. Whimsy
As a decorator, I always love to bring whimsy into the rooms I decorate.
Sometimes, it is a focal piece, such as a fun chandelier over the dining table or in the front hall, but more often, it is a subtle piece. It may be a piece of art on the wall. At one point, I had an elephant lamp finial.
Whimsical pieces bring a room to life and are great conversation starters. They are unexpected pieces that bring fun to the room.
The same can be said of us. When we add whimsy to ourselves, we add a layer of depth that can start a conversation.
It shows the world that we are playful and do not take ourselves too seriously. Sometimes, whimsy enters the realm of eccentricity, so we must be careful how whimsical we are. However, if you choose to be eccentric, that is your choice. You get to be who you want to be.
Being whimsical is a wonderful way to live life. It adds beauty and depth to an otherwise expected confirmation of ourselves and our world.
