I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Work in Progress
We are all a work in progress.
Even if we have achieved what we wanted, there is still more to learn and do.
For example, if you have completed your training or schooling for your chosen career, that does not mean you have nothing more to learn.
We cannot stop learning, even if we choose to close our minds. The Universe will not let us remove the sign saying work in progress. Nor should we want to.
As we grow, we realize there is so much more to learn. For example, we learn that to be our best selves; we must continue to acquire knowledge and share that wisdom with others.
We also discover that others are here to share their knowledge. We can learn from anybody, even if they are far younger than us.
For example, we can learn compassion and kindness when we watch children interact. Also, we learn from older adults, as they have experienced much. Learning what not to do from them is also progress.
We must remain open and remind ourselves and others that we, indeed, are a work in progress.
We are all here to learn and grow. Therefore, we never need to apologize for being a work in progress.
Today’s challenge:
Wear your sign proudly: WORK IN PROGRESS!
