I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Your Choice, Your Responsibility
We all make our own choices.
Sometimes we want to blame others for our choices, and sometimes we are tricked into making a choice.
However, no matter what, we are responsible for our own choices.
I always own my mistakes, and so should you.
You can say you were tricked, but you still knew there was a different option. We all have a gut feeling when the choice we are about to make is not necessarily the best one. While it can be hard to go against the pressures being put on you, remember that you will be the responsible one in the end. If it doesn’t feel right, choose something different, even if it is hard.
Unfortunately, we do not always listen to that gut feeling or little voice in our heads telling us this is not a good idea. It is there for a reason. It may continue getting louder, but it cannot make your decision.
Listen to that voice or gut feeling, even if it feels silly. There is evidence of people who listened to that voice and made a different choice that benefited them.
It may feel silly to cancel a flight, not go somewhere, or even take a different route. The evidence of listening to that voice may not be immediate, but a revelation will come to you at some time in the future.
Choices are important, and they are ours no one else. Listen to yourself and choose correctly. You will be grateful that you did.
Today’s challenge:
Examine the choices you make.
