I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Your Person
We each have a person.
Often, we spend a lifetime looking for this person. Therefore, we may become disillusioned if we don’t recognize who they are.
However, we must only look into the mirror to find our person. While having a significant other in our lives may be wonderful, we must recognize that we are the person we need most.
We know ourselves best. We are the ones who know what we need most and what is best for us. We are the person we can most rely on.
On the other hand, we may become confused about what is best for us and who we can trust. Often, this will happen when we have low self-esteem. At these times, we may find it difficult to trust ourselves and place all our faith in another. However, putting all your faith outside yourself is never a good idea.
At the same time, this does not mean we do not need others. When we have others in our lives, we have a more significant life. Others bring joy and excitement to our lives. However, we must not rely on others to complete us.
We each have it within ourselves to be our own heroes. We can be the person to whom we turn in a crisis or whom we can high-five in accomplishment.
Today’s challenge:
Realize your person has always been with you.
