I hope these thoughts give you something to ponder while you enjoy your morning beverage. As you go about your day, I invite you to take some time to reflect on your observations. Consider if there’s anything you can do to enhance your life, such as looking into the mirror and appreciating yourself. You may also find a way to make the world more beautiful with a simple act of kindness, like holding the door open without expecting a thank you. You may also want to consider if you have a gift to share with the world. Perhaps you have some untapped talent you may regret wasting, as we sometimes do with unused towels or our good china. I hope you find them enjoyable and return for more tomorrow.
Your Worth
No one else gets to decide your worth, not family, friends, enemies, or strangers.
Our worth is what we decide it is. We each get to choose how valuable we are.
For example, you may have surrounded yourself with the incorrect group of people if you feel as if you do not fit in or that you are always outside the group and only invited in at certain times. However, the only way your worth is less than theirs is if you choose to believe it.
While they cannot change your worth, you may want to change your group.
At the same time, no one can increase your value except for you. Compliments are nice, but they are not who you are.
Therefore, we must remember compliments and criticism are not about us and cannot change our value in our own eyes as we cannot change another’s value with criticism or compliments.
When we look into the mirror and give ourselves value, no one can change that worth unless we allow them to.
Today’s challenge:
Increase your worth every time you look in the mirror.
